The name Azady comes from my Kurdish roots. My mother is Iraqi, a physicist like me, and she is half Kurdish and half Arabic. Azady means “freedom,” and it is a word I carry not only as a brand name, but as a personal value.
For me, freedom is for everyone—especially those who are oppressed, unheard, or living in unjust situations. I think about that often, and it shapes how I move through the world, not just how I make soap. The name Azady is a quiet reminder of that commitment.
In soap, that idea of freedom becomes something very tangible:
- Freedom for your skin from harsh, unnecessary chemicals
- Freedom for your senses to enjoy scent without headaches or overwhelm
- Freedom from the irritation that so many of us have come to accept as “normal” in our daily products
Azady Soap is my way of offering a small kind of freedom in your everyday routine—a bar that respects your skin, honors your wellbeing, and reflects a deeper belief in dignity and care for all.
